Near the end of the month TPTB hammer ...

gold and silver due to expiry contracts and ITS the BEST WAY to keep the INFLATION CANARIES (gold and her sister silver) looking rather POOPED-OUT and gives their FIAT paper currencies public opinion value.

Besides dropping gold $20 in a day keeps JOE DUMMY away too.

However, a long term trend shows that TPTB have to drop more and more GOLD/SILVER (paper and actual physical too! P.S. EFTs are all paper no matter what the folks say that read the background K10s and paperwork, period.)
INTO the marketplace over the last 5 YEARS to EFFECT a downward price.

They usually JUST sell the majority to themselves the central banks back and forth while beating their chests and saying the sky is falling. They know that gold/silver still has intrinsic worth - while their paper stuff is worth the price of paper it was printed on minus the ink that ruins the paper value. Effectively ZERO.

The contract ends May 29, Jun 27, Aug 29, Sep 26, and etc.

So if you want to buy look at the Thursday Friday before or on the expiry date for the low. My guess, and please it's only that worth about the intrinsic worth of the paper I'm writing this on, is that come MAY end we'll see a LOW and then watch as from there on out up to goes (generally till Dec. 07 - Jan. 08) when it will consolidate and correct a tad on the way to the BIG BLOZZA of around $2,000.00 to (only if they really blow-up the US dollar) $50,000.00; Sounds crazy I know, but if you divide all the money worldwide (around 300 trillion {in fiat, derratives, loans, under-the counter stuff} by the 2 trillion in gold worth right now); well, frankly that means that gold can go as high as $50 grand.

In 1796 a Louis de'Or 20 franc coin went for 3,800 (three thousand eight hundred) francs. 190 times up in only 5 years!

Imagine (even at the low) a gold ounce at $255 (2001) going up 190 times =
$48,450.00 - dang me, they aughta take a rope and hang me, I'm close!
:aetsch:

Or even worse. A $700 dollars today hitting $133,000.00 at 190 times.
